The first step in designing your property is the most important. A design sets the tone of the entire project from start to finish. Whereas most clients get excited when breaking ground and beginning the actual installations - the most important phase of any project is the Custom Design. Whether your project consists of plantings, masonry, or any other design element, it needs to be treated no differently than any construction project. When building a new home or office building, a blueprint is used to plan, measure, budget, and execute the project. Landscape Design is no different. Working without a design plan leads to mistakes, miscommunications, over budgeted projects, and confusion. This is exactly what we at Green Island try to avoid.

Upon meeting with one of our designers, we listen to how you envision your property - your private retreat. We discuss your family's lifestyle or corporate image and we study your property to provide you with the best possible design. Green Island's staff will then begin preparing a custom design concept based on your specific tastes and styles as well as our time tested design concepts. Using state-of-the-art programs, our clients are presented with a design concept that encompasses our vision of their specific property. This design concept will incorporate all aspects of the project including elements the client may not have previously thought of such as irrigation or lighting.

Setting us apart from most other designers, Green Island has the ability to produce a "virtual reality" rendering of the property in 3D, enabling the client to see the finished project from any angle they may choose. You can actually sit under a tree and enjoy your property before we ever break ground! Planning and preparation are the key to every great project.
